Obituary

Annie Lontine Motes Hayes Caron, 79, of Jackson died January 6, 2020. Lontine was born September 11, 1940 to John William and Eula Anderson Motes in Coffeeville. She was named Miss Coffeeville 1957. Lontine was a member of River Hill Baptist Church, Salitpa. She was an avid fan of both LSU Football as well as Alabama Football. Above all she loved her family, especially her “babies”.

Lontine is preceded in death by her parents, husbands William Franklin Hayes Jr and Joseph Edmond Paul Caron, siblings, Lois Pritchett, Claudine Dunagan, Johnny R. Motes, and Retha Toland-Capps.

She is survived by her children, William Franklin “Trey” Hayes, III and Dawn H. Rynders (Keith Kelley), grandchildren, Katie Ferrell, Gary Reeves Jr (Jessica), Matthew Reeves (Kristian), Brady Reeves (Tess Mayer), great grandchildren, Cayden, Brice, Emma, and Rylee, sister, Jerline Chance Dykeman, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Services will be held Wednesday, January 8, 2020. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm at Lathan Funeral Home, Jackson. Graveside Service will be held at 12:30 pm at River Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Al Dykeman officiating and Lathan Funeral Home directing. While flowers are welcome, in lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to the American Cancer Society to support the fight against breast cancer.

Pallbearers will be Keith Kelley, Gary Reeves, Matt Reeves, Brady Reeves, Larry Toland, and Zack Motes. Honorary pallbearers will be William Ray, Linda Motes and William Carter.
