Andrea "Andie" Glass

Andrea "Andie" Sharmone Glass, age 60, died December 24, 2023. Andie was born October 28, 1963 to Charlie E. and Gloria H. Glass.

Andie was preceded in death by her father, Charlie E. Glass; biological father, Mark E. Atchison, Sr.; brother, Mark E. Atchison, Jr.; grandparents, Adon "Jack" & Louise Howard, Izora M. Carter, Marcie T. Howard, Delmar (Cotton) Atchison, Curtis (Margaret) Glass, Berte Ellis, and Emett L. & Margret Moss Dees.

She is survived by her mother, Gloria H. Glass, sister, Stacey (Shane Maxwell), brothers, Athony (Lisa) and Chuck (Traci); aunts, Ruth Howard, Naomi Howard, and Emily Beech; uncles, Terry Howard and Curtis Glass as well as a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.

Andie sustained a closed head injury in an automobile accident in April 1981. Her indomitable spirit and irrepressible personality gave her the strength to persevere and overcome adversities as well as the grace to accept those she could not overcome. Andie loved her family, especially her nieces and nephews, and adored their children. She cherished life, laughter and love. She was so dearly loved.

Active Pallbearers will be Chuck Glass, Anthony Glass, Shane Maxwell, Josh Glass, Terry Howard, John Kevin Busby, Terry Cox and Dillon Howard.

Honorary pallbearers will be Andrea's cousins: James A. Howard, Debbie Garland, Marcia Blankinship, Chelsea Bailey, Darrell Howard, Sherry Ross, Jacque Parnell, Robin Goldman, Garry Parnell, John Busby, Terri Ann Flowers, Joey Syron, Jason Syron, David Knapp, Tomis Desaulniers, Paul Desaulniers, Brandon Howard, Damon Glass, Elise Howard. Laura Glass, Patricia Glass, Sherry Glass, Mary Glass, Janet Glass, and Billy Glass.

Services will be held Saturday, December 30, 2023 at Lathan Funeral Home, Chatom. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the service begins at 11:00 a.m. with remarks by Curtis Ray Glass.
