Barbara Ann Odom Hicks, 65, of Semmes, passed away Sunday, May 10, 2020 at Mobile Infirmary. She was born June 12, 1954 in Thomasville to Willie Odom and Annie Pearl Harvell Odom. A homemaker, she was a gifted musician who could play several instruments and sing. She often wrote songs and poetry and also enjoyed sewing, especially clothing for her children when they were young. She was a member of Calvary Temple Assembly of God in Saraland.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Randall Odom.
She is survived by her husband, Oscar Hicks; children, Starky (Ashley) Hicks, Hannah (James “Jeth”) Ashbee; grandchildren, Casey Hicks, Aaron Hicks, Starky Hicks, II, Jacob Ashbee, Olivia Ashbee and numerous other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be conducted at Asbury Baptist Cemetery at a later time.
