Barbara Thrash

Barbara Ann Thrash, 79, of Leroy, passed away on May 10, 2024, at Mobile Infirmary with her family by her side. She was born on December 14, 1944, to parents Ossie and Nonie Harper Robinson. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a member of The Jackson Church of Christ. Barbara had a vivacious personality and always made people around her laugh. Her hangout was Bloomers Florist, where she laughed a lot, had fun, made new friends, and made people feel special and loved.

Preceded in death by her husband William Thrash, parents, brother Fuqua Robinson, and sisters Helen Cleiland, Faye Courington, Mabel Robinson, Josephine Courington.

Survived by her children, Amanda (Charles) McMahon, Andrew (Michelle) Thrash; grandchildren, Skylar Thrash, Chas (Annelore) McMahon, Samantha (Jeff) Rosser, Cody (Faith) McMahon, Charleigh McMahon, Zachary Wilson, Bailey Wilson, Addison Wilson; great-grandchildren, Tyler Rosser, Natalie Rosser, Emery McMahon, Declan Rosser, Townes Rosser; her sister, Charlene Courington, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and loving friends. A special thanks to Hanna Jackson, JW and Charlotte Motes, Jerry and Margaret Anna Reeves for always helping Barbara anyway they could, she loved all of you so much.

Pallbearers will be Rodney Courington, Dan Courington, Drew Outlaw, Hiram Gunter, Luke Gunter, and Will Gregory.

A Celebration of Life will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at Jones Chapel Church of Christ in Coffeeville with a visitation one hour prior to services. Bro. Bruce Todd and Bro. Adam Andrews officiating and Lathan Funeral Home directing. Interment will be at the church cemetery following services.
