Bernard 'Jay' Jones Jr.

Bernard Ray Jones Jr. It is with deepest sorrow that we announce that Bernard, affectionately known as “Jay”, has completed his work assignment here on earth on February 11, 2021. Jay was born December 5, 1977.
He received a call from his Lord and Savior, an offer that he could not refuse, for an appointment from which he will not be returning.
His assignment comes with eternal job security, a huge sign on bonus and a grand and glorious reunion with family and friends. Jay’s new mission takes him to an incredible paradise forever.
We will always remember his warmth, his smile, his energy and his love for family and friends. Jay made a profound, positive difference in the lives of the many that were privileged to know him.
Sorrowfully missed by those that knew him are his mother, Thelma Jones, his fiancé, Missy Fox, his children, Taylor Jones, Clint Presley and Marie Presley, and many aunts and uncles.
We would like to offer our sincere gratitude to the amazing staff at Mobile Infirmary; the emergency room, 5NW, 2W and the critical care SICU doctors and nurses who gave Jay such great care while allowing us a few more precious days with him.
A celebration of life service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 20, 2021 at Howard Town Baptist Church, Tibbie, AL. There will be a visitation for family and friends one hour prior to services. Interment will follow at the Chatom Cemetery. Pastor Jamie Lay officiating and Lathan Funeral Home Directing.
