Brandon Cartwright

Brandon Michael Cartwright, 24, passed from this life far to soon on June 29, 2024. Brandon was born July 18, 1999. He was a member of the Fruitdale High School Graduating Class of 2018. Brandon loved being outside and truly enjoyed fishing. Brandon loved to race: whether drag racing or street racing, as long as his wheels were spinning there was a smile on his face. Above all, Brandon loved his family, especially his boys. He was a 'blue collar' kind of guy who took pride in working on stuff and being greasy; he loved having his boys join him outside to learn about the tools and work he was doing.

Brandon is survived by his fiancé, Crysta Cartwright; sons, Remington John Cartwright and Nolan Michael Cartwright; daughter on the way, Amarie Elizabeth Cartwright; mother, Teresa Cooper (Donnell); father, Corey Williams (Tammy); siblings, Casey Williams, Hannah Brannon (Trent), Destiny Stringer, Alyse Cooper, and Ryleigh Cooper; grandmother, Ruby Rudd; aunt and uncles, C.J. and Trisha Guy, Victor Rudd, Scott (Jasmine) Williams, and Ambrose Bostick; nieces and nephews, MacKinleigh, Nevaeh, Colton, Drayden and one niece on the way; as well an numerous cousins, other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Terry Cartwright, Wanda Faye Carpenter and Freddy Williams.

Services will be held at Lathan Funeral Home, Chatom. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 6, 2024. Funeral Service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, July 7, 2024. He will lie-in-repose for one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the funeral in Yellow Pine Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jason Jones, Grady Reed, Chris Johnston, Victor Rudd, Mason Metzger, Harley Williamson, Jacob Brunson, and Payton Williamson.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Jacob Wheeler, Zack Jones, Darrel "DJ" Loper, Noah Rivers, Dylan Bloodworth and Tanner Perdue.
