It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Bryan Thomas Few, who left us on December 5, 2025, at the age of 53. Bryan, affectionately named "Opa" by his beloved grandchildren, was born on January 27, 1972, in Jackson, and spent his life in the community he loved dearly.
A dedicated provider, Bryan proudly served in the United States Marine Corps before he attended the police academy. His talent as a welder led him to a career traveling the world working various jobs to ensure he provided a good life for his family before he ultimately found his place close to home at the Steel Mill. He took great pride in his skills and embraced them which led him to obtain his QAQC certification.
Bryan was a proud member of the Sterlington Church of Christ in Monroe, Louisiana, where he found comfort and support through regular virtual church services which he enjoyed with his father. Family meant everything to Bryan, and he cherished the time spent with them. He was honored to act as his parents' caregiver when they needed him the most and to spend time with his immediate family whenever possible.
A true outdoorsman at heart, Bryan had a passion for hunting and fishing. He found serenity in nature, often saying that it brought him closer to God. He loved spending his time off at the camp, bathing in Bassets Creek and relaxing in the sun-dappled woods. He loved sharing these experiences with his family and especially ignited a love for hunting in his daughter. As a proud member of the NRA and the National Wild Turkey Federation, Bryan enjoyed the camaraderie of the Few Hunting Club. His adventures often took him to Arkansas for duck hunting trips, during which he had the pleasure of visiting Duck Commander even before they became famous.
Bryan is preceded in death by his grandparents, Jessie & Doris Few and Jenkins & Nell Smith; and his beloved pups, RuRu, Magnum, and Maggie.
Bryan passed away, leaving behind his beloved wife of 32 years, Christi K. Few; children, Candice F. Hayes (Travis) and Walton Thomas Few (Caleigh); grandchildren, Madelyn Hayes, Trevor Hayes, Clara Kate Harrell, Ella Hayes, and Elson Few; parents, Thomas and Pam Few; brother, Josh Few (Lara); bonus brother, Scott Shaw; beloved pups, Bad Dog and Pup Pup; numerous other relatives and several dear friends; as well as a legacy of love, and shared outdoor adventures that will be remembered fondly by all who knew him.
Funeral services will be held at Lathan Funeral Home in Jackson on December 9, 2025. A public visitation will take place from 11:00 AM, followed by the funeral service at 12:00 PM with Bro. Don Delukie and Bro. Scott Shaw officiating. Bryan will be laid to rest following the ceremony in Evergreen Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Russ Jones, David Beck, Tony Raybon, Ricky Elmore, Chris Blackburn, Jim Jackson, Donald Dixon, and Leron Smith.
We invite all who knew and loved Bryan to come together to honor his life and the joy he brought to all of us.
