Carolyn P. Haag, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on November 28, 2025, at the age of 89. Born on February 19, 1936 to Mattie Pearson Powell Jarman and Bryant Richard Powell, Carolyn spent her life in Chatom, AL, where she touched the hearts of many with her kindness, generosity, and a knack for making everyone feel welcome.

A dedicated member of Fairhope Baptist Church, Carolyn retired as a florist at Chatom Florist and Gifts, where her creativity and love for nature flourished. She will be remembered for her warm smile, her love of yard work, her unwavering faith in God, and her incredible ability to find beauty in life's simplest moments.

Carolyn is predeceased by her parents; her loving husband, John F. Haag; and her beautiful granddaughter, Caroline Nicole Hoffman Bailey.

Carolyn was a cherished mother to her children, James O. Hoffman, Phillip G. Hoffman, and Deborah H. Sloat (Gordon); and stepchildren, Victor Haag, Chris Haag (Sherry), Michelle Anderson (Donnie), and Denise Larson (Lance). She was a proud grandmother to her grandchildren, James Ryan Hoffman, Jeffery W. Sloat (Jessica), and Justin D. Sloat (Kacy); her step-grandchildren, Jason Anderson (Sarah), Dusty Smith (Ryan), Tara Beech (Dustin), Jessica Larson, Andrea Larson, Mike Haag, and Larry Haag (Abbey); her great grandchildren, Gracie Sloat, Tucker Sloat, Fisher Sloat, and Waylon Sloat; her step-great grandchildren, Devin Roberts (Angel), Zane Roberts (Lexi), Maci Smith, Baylee Anderson, William Anderson, Rylan Beech, Colt Beech, Katelyn Lane Haag, and Kathryn Leigh Haag; step great-great grandchildren, Hailey Roberts, and Abbielynn Roberts. She was a beloved sister to Joyce Williams, Janet Walker, Barbara Hillman, Brenda Roberts (Britt) and Ronald Powell (Janeice). Carolyn is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.

A funeral service will be held in her honor at Fairhope Baptist Church on December 3, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., with a public visitation starting at 10:00 a.m. that same day. She will be laid to rest following the service. Carolyn's spirit will continue to inspire those who knew her, reminding us all of the joy and warmth she brought to our lives.
