Carolyn Larrimore

June 18, 1931 — October 5, 2023

Carolyn Robinson Larrimore was born June 18, 1931, to Daisye Morgan-Robinson and Quintus S. Robinson in Jackson, Alabama. She was raised in Jackson and was married to the late Jeffrey G. Larrimore of Dickinson, AL for 56 years, who preceded her in death on January 1, 2005. She is survived by their four children: Theresia Larrimore-McInnis of Santa Rosa Beach, FL, and husband John; David Jeffrey Larrimore, and wife Susan of Freeport, FL; Kieth Larrimore and wife Kathy of Marion, NC; and Lee Larrimore and wife Debbie, of Brewton, AL., as well as eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Jeff and Carolyn lived the last 30 years of their married life in Brewton, AL, where she served as Director of the Escambia Chapter of the American Red Cross, was secretary of First United Methodist Church, Secretary of Escambia County Republican Executive Committee, and published a book "ANY OLD BUSH WILL DO," which is an account of the early days of the Methodist Lay-Witness Movement in Alabama. This movement which began in a men's prayer group in Montgomery, Alabama, with just a few men, who "were sold" out to the Lord, later swept the entire United States, Europe, and Africa. This account is viewed through the experiences of one of the Movement's earliest pioneers, Grady Watson, Jr. from Repton, AL.

A movie was made about the effects this move of God had in Africa. FAITH LIKE POTATOES, tells the story of how one man, totally committed to God, could be used by God, to change a town-then reach thousands in Africa.

Carolyn has lived the past 13 years in Marion, NC near her son Kieth Larrimore, and daughter-in-law Kathy Larrimore.

She completed her life journey on October 5, 2023, between 12:00 and 1:00 am at the Hospice Center of Forest City, NC with her son David J. Larrimore, Kieth R. Larrimore, and daughter-in-law Kathy H. Larrimore at her side. She passed peacefully in her sleep. We thank all those who have been so faithful in their prayers for her and our family and for the great mercy and grace God has shown in her passing.

There will be a private family graveside gathering for her burial in Jackson, AL next to her husband Jeffrey G. Larrimore

A memorial celebration of life service will be held at a later date in Marion, NC. Check FaceBook Account of Carolyn R Larrimore for updates.
