Carolyn Talbot

Carolyn Stevens Talbot, 88, of Jackson, passed away September 9, 2018 at Crowne Health Care in Mobile. She was born October 22, 1929 to Joseph Thomas "Tom" Stevens and Winne Mable Smitherman Stevens. A loving mother and grandmother, she was affectionately known as "Nanan" by her grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening, especially flowers, yard work and shopping.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, George J. Talbot, Jr.
She is survived by her children, Seritha M. (Wallace) Pezent of Jackson, Donald Stanley (Cathy) Moss of Saraland; step-daughter, Melanie Talbot (George) Hareski of San Tan, AZ; grandchildren, Lorin (Angela) Pezent, Michael (Tiffany) Pezent, Shawn Moss; great-grandchildren, Cody Pezent, Joseph Pezent, Caleb Pezent, Brooke Pezent, Logan Pezent and Hunter Moss.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on September 12, 2018 at Lathan Funeral Home in Jackson with the Rev. Dave Delegal officiating. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Pine Crest Cemetery in Jackson with Lathan Funeral Home directing.
Pallbearers will be Lorin Pezent, Michael Pezent, Shawn Moss, Hunter Moss, Don Moss and Wallace Pezent.
Honorary pallbearers will be Logan Pezent, Caleb Pezent, Roy Marks, Brooke Pezent, Cody Pezent, Joseph Pezent, Johnny Pezent and Leon Harrison.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to St. Jude or Leroy Baptist Church.
