Clara Glovene Powers, 90, passed away peacefully on September 29, 2024. She was born on September 19, 1934, to parents, Joe E. and Ollie (Wilson) Pettis. Glovene was resident of Jackson and a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church where she served as Secretary.
Glovene was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dominic Powers, Sr.; and her brother, Roger Pettis.
She is survived by her step-son Dominic Powers, Jr.; her sister, Betty Smith; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and loving friends.
A memorial service will be held at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Jackson, Al on October 19, 2024, at 11:00 a.m.
