Annette Wright

Cynthia Annette Wright, 75, of Jackson, passed away on February 21, 2025. She was born on July 26, 1949, to parents Raymond Bill and Myrtle Ruth Darley Johnson. Annette was golden, she loved deeply, she was a giver and a warrior. She nurtured everyone that was part of her life. She was a fabulous cook and always delighted in cooking for her family and friends. She was a mother and friend that everyone wanted to have. She loved her husband, her children, her grandchildren, her sisters, and friends with a love that was soft and fierce! Annette lived her life to the fullest and loved with all her heart. We are better people for having the honor to call her OURS! She will be tremendously missed by all who knew her.

Preceded in death by her parents, daughters Nina Marie Jones and Katherine Knowles; brothers Danny Joe Johnson and G.B. Johnson.

Survived by her husband David Jay Wright, children: Paula (Hoppy) Stewart, Missie (Daryl) Powell, Joe (Mandy) Jones, and Melissa Wright Ivory; grandchildren: Elizabeth Annette Stewart, Jon Logan (Kelsey) Horton, McKenzie Rae (Grey) Waller, Anna Kate Jones, Mary Addison (Bo) Brutkiewicz, and Jack Clayton Jones; great-grandchildren: Stewart Quinn McKenzie, Jon Lucas Horton, and Kathryn Ray Waller; siblings: Pauline (Cecil) Walker, Darlene (Garry) Williams and Billie Ann (Mike) Sellers, sister-in-law; Angie Johnson; special lifetime mother figure Mary Lou Jones; special friends Fran Brown, Allison McDonald, Tina Syphrit CRNP, Peggy Henley, and a host of nieces and nephews that she dearly loved. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
