Daniel Nelson

Daniel James Nelson of Mobile died September 2, 2019. He was born November 9, 1982 to the late Royce Raymond “Dace” Nelson and the late Quindell H. McCurdy. Daniel was a graduate of Jackson High School. He was a kindhearted, giving and adventurous man who loved life and lived it to the fullest every day.

Daniel is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his sons, Brayden Nelson and Jaxx Nelson; siblings, Deanna Nelson and Terry Nelson; nephews, Waylon Motes and Logan Motes; niece, Lydia Blakey; step-father, William McCurdy; step-sister, Amber (Jon) Battles and numerous other relatives and friends.

Combined services will be conducted for Daniel and his mother, Quindell McCurdy at Lathan Funeral Home on Friday, September 6, 2019. Visitation will be from 1-3 pm with the funeral service beginning at 3 pm with Bro. BJ Hales officiating. Interment will follow in Gainestown United Methodist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to his account at Lathan Funeral Home.
