Darrel Britt

Darrel Britt Sr., 56 of Tibbie, passed away September 13, 2019 at his home. He was born October 12, 1962 in North Carolina to James and Margaret Strickland Britt. Darrel moved to Alabama and worked for TMS International where he was an equipment operator. Carpenter by trade, Darrel also loved the outdoors, days on the beach, fishing, and gardening were among his favorite things to do.

Darrel is survived by his wife, Angela of 21 years. Children; James “Jimmy” Darrel Britt Jr. and his wife Rebecca, Jamie Britt Jones and her husband David, Jeremy Paul Overstreet and his wife Catherine, and Joshua Eric Overstreet and his fiancé Stephanie Beahn. Grandchildren; Aiden Paul Overstreet, Adyson Claire Overstreet, Sarah Kate Overstreet, Alexia Jones, Hannah Jones, and Jonah Lee Overstreet. Also, his brother Richard Allen Britt, and many nephews and nieces, friends.

Preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, September 16, 2019 at Walker Springs Road Baptist Church in Jackson with Bros. David Webb and Daniel Mairet officiating. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. with Lathan Funeral Home directing.
