Debra Callaway

Debra Y. Callaway, 66, of Jackson, passed away Friday, June 19, 2021 at Choctaw Health and Rehab in Butler. She was born on September 2, 1954 in Selma. She enjoyed cooking, baking, vegetable and flower gardening and watching the University of Alabama football team. She also loved spending time with her family and friends and had previously been employed at Best Western Hotel in Jackson as a desk clerk.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward Schmidt, Mary Ruth Pearson (Malcom "Mac") Callaway and siblings, Michael Schmidt, Karen Daw and Candy Childress.
She is survived by her children, Claude (Shannon) Etheredge, Wendy (Zachary) Keith; grandchildren, Marissa (James) Hart, Jordan Etheredge, Jase Etheredge, John Hayden Keith; great-grandson, James Hart; brother, Logan (Betty) Schmidt and numerous other relatives and friends.
