It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Dewey Rex Chalk, age 79, who departed this life on October 6, 2026. He was also a longstanding member of the Gideons, serving as president for many years, sharing the invaluable message of hope through the distribution of Bibles. His commitment to community service continued through his active involvement with the Civitan Club, where he also held the position of president multiple times, working tirelessly to uplift those around him.
Beyond his professional and community endeavors, Dewey had a deep appreciation for the arts, finding joy in drawing and creating beautiful artwork. He was a loving husband to his wife, Wanda Chalk, and treasured his family and friends throughout his life.
