Obituary

Earline Holder Pearce, 79, died June 25 at her home. A lifelong resident of Jackson, she was the daughter of the late Maynard and Minnie Mae Holder. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Jackson where she worked with the Food Ministry and was an active member of the Christian Fellowship Sunday School Class. She was a longtime volunteer at the Regional Child Advocacy Center in Grove Hill. A 1964 graduate of Jackson High where she was a majorette, she attended the University of Southern Mississippi.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Martha H. Odom Bedsole.

Survivors are her husband of 60 years, Herbert "Bill" Pearce of Jackson; daughter, Paige P. Peacock of Live Oak, Fla.; son William "Will" Pearce of Saraland; grandchildren, Mazzlyn Pearce and Makagan (Leith) Rawson, both of Saraland, Cole (Kayla) Peacock and Pearce Peacock, both of Live Oak; great-grandchildren, Brinson Peacock and Gemma Peacock of Live Oak; twin sister, Evelyn (Joe) Carpenter of Jackson; many nephews, nieces and numerous friends.

The memorial service will be at First United Methodist Church July 9, 11 a.m. with visitation at 10 a.m. Officiating will be the Rev. Dr. Philip McVay, Revs. Jim DuFriend and Karsen Gates. Lathan Funeral Home will be directing.

Memorials may be made to the Jackson First United Methodist Church.
