Eunice Johnston

Eunice Pauline Johnston, 79, of Chatom, passed away June 17, 2018 at her residence. She was born October 22, 1938 to Fred and Elsie Dorman. A member of Bethel United Methodist Church in Seaboard, she was also active in the St. Stephens Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star. She worked for many years at the Washington County courthouse in both the probate judge and sheriff's offices. Her hobbies included bluegrass music, bird watching and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joseph C. "Bill" Johnston and siblings, Herbert (Patsy) Dorman, Quitman (Sherry) Dorman, Laverne (Beverly) Dorman, Marion Dorman, Mary Abling, Jessie Donald, Jody Wheat and Dolly Parnell.
She is survived by her children, Wayne (Wanda) Johnston, Jack (Patrina) Johnston, Joe (Kate) Johnston, Deborah (Jeff) Criswell, Glovenia (Kerry) Dees, Poppy (David) Pose; grandchildren, Dusty Johnston, Chad Faulk, Adam Johnston, Jared Johnston, Meggin Johnston, Kimberly Merritt, Amber Taylor, Denny Johnston, TJ Parnell, Storm Dees, Oliver Dees, Jacob Criswell, Jessica Criswell, Jamie Criswell, Jim Criswell; great-grandchildren, Mason Johnston, Kandence Johnston, Kinley Johnston, Atli Johnston, Grace Johnston, "Little" Joe Johnston, Allison Faulk; sister, Virgina Odom; numerous nieces and nephews and dear friend, Ted Trevillian.
Visitation will be Tuesday, June 19, 2018 from 6-8 p.m. at Lathan Funeral Home in Chatom. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m., with a visitation one hour prior to services on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at Bethel United Methodist Church in Seaboard with the Rev. Braxton Eldridge officiating. Interment will follow the service at the church cemetery with Lathan Funeral Home directing.
Pallbearers will be Dusty Johnston, Denny Johnston, Chad Faulk, TJ Parnell, Jared Johnston, Adam Johnston, Storm Dees, Mason Johnston, Jacob Criswell, Oliver Dees, "Little" Joe Johnston and Jim Criswell.
