Faye Gunn

Faye Gunter Gunn, 89, of Jackson, passed away Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at her residence surrounded by family. She was born in Carlton on October 8, 1931 to John Gunter and Willie May Hogg Gunter. A member of Rockville Baptist Church, she had been employed as a general merchandise manager at Winn Dixie and TG&Y. She was lifelong resident of the Jackson area and enjoyed travel with her family. She took numerous trips to the mountains and to Disney World and enjoyed playing bridge and golf as well as ceramics and flower gardening.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Keith Werner Tarleton and siblings, Glenn Gunter, Snider Gunter, Mike Gunter, Grover Gunter, Johnnie May Nicholson and Frank Gunter.

She is survived by her husband, John Gunn, Sr; children, Ronnie Tarleton, Robbie (Bridgett) Tarleton, Beth Tarleton (Arvis) Slack, John (Vicky) Gunn, Jr.,; grandchildren, Bart Tarleton, Tara (Jason) Anderson, Rob (Katie) Tarleton, Bill Tarleton, Leila (Bo) Nichols, Brooke Alday (Todd) Sellers, Caleb (Tiffany) Alday, Jake Slack, Gabriel Gunn, Mary Gunn, Annabelle Gunn; seventeen great-grandchildren; one great, great grandchild; numerous other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be conducted at Rockville Baptist Church will be conducted at a time yet to be determined. Rev. Mark Dunn will officiate.
