Frances Virginia Richardson

August 14, 1940 — April 24, 2026

Frances Virginia Richardson, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, born on August 14, 1940, to the late William and Barbara Mosley, will be remembered for her unwavering faith, vibrant spirit, and boundless love for her family. Frances peacefully departed from this world on April 24, 2026, at the age of 85.

A devoted homemaker, Frances found joy in the simple pleasures of life, delighting in decorating crosses to honor those in cemeteries and sharing her heartfelt knowledge of Scriptures during moments of joy and sorrow. As a current member of Frankville Baptist Church and a former member of New Hope Methodist Church, her faith radiated through her actions and the love she extended to all around her.

Frances had an extraordinary eye for beauty, which she expressed through her stunning floral arrangements, painting, and the decorative touches she added to crafts that her husband created. An accomplished writer, she shared her gift for words during her years with the Call News Dispatch and through her uplifting poetry, touching the lives of those who were fortunate enough to read her works.

Frances had a passion for travel, creating cherished memories with her husband in the mountains and falling in love with the breathtaking beauty of tulip fields during their travels across Europe. Her family adventures took them to various states due to her husband's Army career, with particularly fond memories of their time in Alaska and Utah, where beauty was found in every experience.

A proud member of the Red Hat Society, Frances was known for her giving heart, often visiting and uplifting those in need, especially during their times of illness. She cherished her family above all, and her love for her boys was immeasurable.

Frances was greeted in heaven by her beloved husband, Roy Edward Richardson, Sr.; son, Ronald "Rolo" Richardson; and brothers-in-law, Tommy O'Neal and Tom Palm.

She is survived by her sons, Robert "Bobby" Richardson, Roy E. Richardson, Jr (Molly Wilson), and Kenneth Richardson (Carol); siblings, Jean O'Neal, Lois Mosley-Palm, Arthur C. Mosley (Elizabeth), and Edna Mosley Reynolds; grandchildren, Brandy Gazzier, Clint Richardson, Lindsey Scruggs, Jessie Foulds, Christina Dumas, and B.J.
