Frank Howard

Frank Howard, 88, of Tibbie, passed away peacefully at his home on June 29, 2025. He was born to Laymon "Dick" and Viola (Knapp) Howard on April 10, 1937. Frank was a member of Howardtown Baptist Church. He loved taking mission trips and travelling. Frank had a passion for bowling and enjoyed time chasing that perfect game. While Frank loved to fish, turkey hunting was by far his favorite pastime. Frank adored his large family, and all knew him as "Uncle Frank."

Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Dick and Viola Howard; his brothers, Wilbert "Bo" Howard, Henry Howard, and Richard Howard; his sisters, Clara H. Downer and Vera H. Timothy.

He is survived by his brothers, Laymon Gordon Howard and James Wade Howard (Shirley); his sister, Gladys H. Brown; his sister-in-law, Mrs. Henry Howard (Shirley); his special caretaker, Charlotte Howard; and many numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

Services will be held on Wednesday, July 2, 2025 at Howardtown Baptist Church in Tibbie, Alabama at 2:00 p.m. with a visitation an hour prior. Bro. Jamie Lay, Bro. Carey Howard, and Bro. Ed Howard will be officiating the service and Lathan Funeral Home directing.

Pallbearers will be Larry Busby, Sheldon Timothy, Trent Brown, Riley Richardson, Anthony Howard, and Levi Howard.

Honorary pallbearers are Aaron McIlwain, Derek Everett, Will Howard, Jerry Busby, and Weston Odom.
