Gary Wilson

Gary Lewis Wilson, 57, a lifelong resident of Clarke County, died April 16, 2018. Mr. Wilson was born November 22, 1960 to the late Charles Lewis Wilson and Mrs. Rebecca Ellisor Wilson. He worked as a chemical operator at BASF for over 37 years. Mr. Wilson enjoyed fishing, hunting, Auburn football, and NASCAR Racing.

Mr. Wilson is preceded in death by his father. He is survived by his wife, DeAnne Dunagan Wilson; daughter, Savannah Claire Wilson; mother; brothers, Miles (Kerri) Wilson and Robin (Rachel) Wilson; nieces, Skyler Wilson, Brittany Wilson, Allie Wilson, Lainye Wilson, and Harley Loper; nephews, Grady Dunagan and Gray Wilson; great-nephew, Lane Browder; as well as numerous other relatives and friends.

Visitation for Mr. Wilson will be held from 10:00 am until 11:30 am on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at Lathan Funeral Home, Grove Hill. Graveside service will follow at Bassett Creek Cemetery at 12:00 pm with Bro. Johnny Kendrick and Ches Carr officiating. Pallbearers will be Miles Wilson, Robin Wilson, Jim Dunagan, Mike Gates, Sam Allday, and Thomas Anderson. Honorary pallbearers are Mr. Wilson's coworkers at BASF in Area 20.
