Gene Guy

Gene L. Guy, a resident of the Pleasant Grove Community, passed away at home on Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at age 77. He was born September 20, 1946 in Jackson, AL.

He was a devoted husband of 59 years, father, and grandfather. He attended Coffeeville High School and was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. He was a hard worker and worked for many years at Ciba Geigy. He loved his family and loved to hunt and fish. Mr. Guy is survived by his daughter, Tammy Guy; one grandson, Tanner Spillers; one brother, Roland (Margie) Guy; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Julia Nall Guy and parents Eugene and Annie Lauria Guy.

Graveside service will be held Saturday, March 2, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Pleasant Grove Baptist Cemetery. Visitation will take place in the cemetery for one hour prior to the service.
