Gene Mcvay

Gene Goodman McVay, 87, of Jackson, passed away January 25, 2019 at Crown Healthcare of Mobile. He was born October 12, 1931 in Jackson to Joseph Blake and Mazie McVay. A 1951 graduate of Jackson High School, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and was deployed to Korea as a member of the occupying forces. He was an employee of South Central Bell/ATT for 35 years and was member of McCann's United Methodist Church. In his spare time, he enjoyed woodworking and reading

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Shirley Finch McVay; son, Paul (Christine) McVay of Dothan and twin brother, Frank "Jack" (Opal) McVay of Mobile
