George Benton

George H. Benton, 84, a native of Tibbie, AL. and a resident of Deer Park, passed away from this earth on August 17, 2022, at his residence. He retired from Ciba-Geigy where he worked as a welder for 35 years. He was a member of New Grace Baptist Church where he served as a deacon, elder, and teacher.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ross Benton.
Survived by daughter Joyce Benton, son Bo (Teresa) Benton, six grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, August 20, 2022 at the Benton Family Cemetery in Deer Park, Bro. Bradley Cooper officiating and Lathan Funeral Home directing. Online condolences may be shared at www.lathafuneralhome.com
