George King

George Theodore King, 66, of Wagarville, passed away Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at Jackson Medical Center. He was born January 25, 1952 to William Theodore King and Janie Frances Jones King, both of whom preceded him in death. A nuclear machinist mate with the U.S. Navy, he was also a member of the St. Stephens Masonic Lodge and numerous other professional organizations. He enjoyed driving his tractor, hunting, fishing and Alabama football.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia King; sons, Christopher George (Melissa Renee) King, Nathan Aaron (Rebecca Miriam) King; grandchildren, Haydn Christopher King, Hunter Seth King, Sawyer Frances King; siblings, William Russell (Carolyn) King, Patricia Ann (Richard) Jones, Pamela (Edward) Evans and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A graveside service will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at Wagarville Baptist Church with the Masonic Lodge officiating. Visitation will be Monday, October 1, 2018 at Lathan Funeral Home from 5-7 p.m.
Pallbearers will be members of the St. Stephens Masonic Lodge.
