Harold Harwell

Harold B. Harwell, 76, of Jackson, died January 15, 2021 after leading a full life, despite being a cerebral palsy patient. He was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Leroy and a huge fan of the University of Alabama and Leroy High School athletics. He lived for 35 years at the Jackson Health Care Facility where he was extremely well tended by the staff.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. and Mrs. H.H. Harwell; two sisters, Marilyn Ruth Harwell, Eleanor Ann Harwell and brother, Jack U. Harwell.
His survivors include three brothers, Hoyt G. (Elizabeth) Harwell of Hoover, Mercer M. (Martha) Harwell of Mobile, Frank H. (Dianne) Harwell of Chatom; sister-in-law, Teliea Harwell of Stone Mountain, GA and countless other relatives and friends.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Sunday, January 17, 2021 at New Leroy Baptist Church Cemetery with the Revs. Ben Posey and Dave Delegal officiating.
Memorial gifts in his memory may be made to the Leroy Baptist Church or other deserving entities.
