Harold Platt

Harold Thompson "Pete" Platt, 87, of Escatawpa, passed away Thursday, December 30, 2021 at Washington County Nursing Home in Chatom. He was born in Escatawpa on November 19, 1934 to H.M. Platt and Virgie Causey Platt. A member of Four Points Baptist Church, he had retired from Alabama Dry Docks and Shipbuilding Company in Mobile. Prior to that, he was a commercial farmer who raised soybeans, hogs and catfish. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Sarah I. Pitman, Kerry C. Platt, Douglas M. Platt, Joseph E. Platt and Mary Lou Davidson.
He is survived by his son, Hardy M. Platt, III and his wife, Melissa Camp Platt.
A private service will be conducted on Thursday, December 30, 2021 at Escatawpa Cemetery with Lathan Funeral Home directing.
