Holland Reeves

Holland Reeves, 89, of Jackson, passed away on June 14, 2025, peacefully at his home surrounded by his loved ones. Holland was born on April 12, 1936, to parents Rufus and Louise Reeves. Holland was a member of Forest Avenue Baptist Church. He had a strong Christian faith and was a man of few words. They were words of wisdom and when he spoke, everyone listened. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, tinkering, and woodworking. He loved to listen to Christian music and spending time with his family. Holland's life spoke for itself.

He is preceded in death by his parents; infant brother, Billy Reeves; sisters, Pauline Reeves, Shirley Stoudenmire; and first wife, Imogene Steadham Reeves.

Holland is survived by his wife, Judy Reeves; children, Kenneth (Sissy) Reeves, Linda (Bobby) Brooks; stepchildren, Amanda (Casey) Moats and John (Britney) Mason; 14 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren; numerous, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends.

Funeral services will be at Forest Avenue Baptist Church. Visitations will be held Wednesday, June 18, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and Thursday, June 19, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until the service begins at 11:00 a.m. with Bro. Danny Chancy and Bro. William Allison officiating. Interment will follow in Trinty Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Holland's grandsons, Jason Reeves, Jeremy Reeves, Brantley Alexander, Mason Alexander, Bryson Alexander, Braeden Alexander, Blake Foster, John Mason III, Zach Mason, and Chase Mason.

Honorary pallbearers will be his coffee drinking friends from the Jackson Nutrition Center and Pine City Bakery.
