Howard Smith

Howard Owen Smith, 75, of Wagarville, passed away November 5, 2017 at Providence Hospital in Mobile. He was born November 11, 1941 to Ellis and Annie Nora Smith. He enjoyed numerous activities including hunting, fishing, farming, antiquing, watching wildlife, walking through the woods on his property and Alabama Crimson Tide football.



He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife of 34 years, Faye Wheat Smith.



He is survived by his daughter, Sandra Kay Evans; two grandchildren, Joshua Crocker, Ashley Crocker and a brother.



Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at Ebenezer Methodist Church in Wagarville with the Rev. Glenn Sullivan officiating. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Lathan Funeral Home directing.



Pallbearers will be Steve Gilley, Logan Sullivan, Louis Whitfield, Tommy Johnston and Johnny Pace,



Honorary pallbearers will be Henry Pogue, Renee McCulley and Sheila Whitfield
