Irma Wilson Barton

Irma Faye Wilson Barton, 75, of Jackson died Wednesday, August 23, 2023. Irma Faye was born September 5, 1947 to Leroy Sr. and Sylvia Newbill. She was a member of Evergreen Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending her days with her loved ones whenever possible as well as relaxing with her husband watching her favorite television programs: various preachers, western or cowboy movies and wrestling. Irma Faye took great pleasure strolling through the yard around the house taking in nature's beauty. She was a loving wife, mother, MawMaw and friend.

Irma Faye is survived by her husband, Donald Barton; children, Lisa (Bennie) Pringle and Deborah (David) Craddock; step-daughter, Jessica Kitchin; grandchildren, Ronnie, Will, Grant, William, Khloe, Mia Sophia and Stephen; great grandchildren, John River, Paisleigh, Penolpe, Verity; siblings, Joe Newbill, Carrolton Newbill, Ann Jimmerson, Sarah Woods and Deborah Sue McDonald.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Ronnie Lee Wilson, Sr.; son, Ronnie Lee Wilson, Jr.; her brothers, Walter Allen, Leroy Newbill Jr., Jimmy Newbill, Wayne Newbill, Petty Allen and Eugene Newbill.

Services will be held Friday, August 25, 2023 at Evergreen Baptist Church. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral begins at 12:00 p.m. with Bro. Brent Fuller officiating and Lathan Funeral Home directing. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
