Janet Catherine Blount Poole, 58, of Jackson, passed away Monday, June 20, 2022, at Mobile Infirmary. She was born in Jackson on Saturday, April 18, 1964. A woman of God, she collected crosses and enjoyed watching the birds as she sat on her porch and watched the birds in her yard. She was a devoted homemaker who loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and her beloved pets and animals of all kinds. She was also a fan of the Auburn University football program.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Lloyd Blount, Catherine Miles Blount and brother, Paul Blount.
She is survived by her husband, Terry Poole; daughters, Catherine (Jeremy) Overstreet, Lauren Mayhair, Mallory Poole, Ashley (Wyatt) Sanders, Chelsey (Joseph) Sanford, Falon Jones; grandchildren, Aiden Overstreet, Adyson Overstreet, Sarah Kate Overstreet, Brantley Mayhair, Jaylynn Johnson, Jaci Johnson and numerous other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be conducted at 3 p.m. on Friday, June 24, 2022, at the First of Assembly of God Church in Jackson with the Rev. Charles Lenn officiating and Lathan Funeral Home directing. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service.
