Jason McMillian, 49, passed away peacefully on Wednesday September 17, 2025, surrounded by his family. Jason was a welder by trade, something he loved very much and looked forward to passing his skills on to his grandkids. He was a welding inspector for many years, which kept him away from home quite often, but whenever he was able to be home, he loved spending time with his family.
Jason was born November 7, 1975, in Monroeville, Alabama to James (JJ) McMillian and Vicky L. Sellers.
He is preceded in death by his mother Vicky L. Sellers of Monroeville, Alabama.
Jason is survived by his loving wife of 16 years Leslie Gunter McMillian of Chatom; his dad, James, JJ (Chris) McMillian; his brothers, Jamie McMillian (Renee) of Decatur, Texas and Jeremy (Katy) McMillian of Perdue Hill; his sister, Jessica McMillian of Sylacauga; children, Jacob (Krystal) Gunter of Satsuma, David (Kirsten) Humphrey of Chatom, and Brooke Humphrey of Chatom; grandkids, Skylar (Maggie) Mosley, Chloe Mosley, Addison Mosley all of Satsuma, Brayden A. Humphrey, Kellan Gunter, Cruz Hope, John Tyce Humphrey, Kendalyn Gunter, Mallie Humphrey, Noah Hope and Brixx Humphrey; great grands, Anna Rae and Addie Claire Mosley and Baelyn Mosley.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, September 22, 2025, at Hobson Assembly of God Church. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral begins at 11:00 a.m. Bro. Steve Foster officiating and Lathan Funeral Home directing. Interment to follow at the Chatom Town Cemetery.
