Jimmie Richardson

Jimmie Ray Richardson, 60, of Wilmer, passed away February 2, 2019 at Providence Hospital. He was born April 4, 1958 to Hayward Nathaniel Richardson and Catherine Glover Richardson, both of whom preceded him in death. A construction worker, he traveled frequently throughout the country. He enjoyed fishing and restoring classic automobiles.

He is survived by his children, Michael Richardson, Joshua (Joy) Richardson, Jessie (Heather) Richardson; grandchildren, Keaton Richardson, Evan Richardson, Kaiden Richardson, Kambree Platt; siblings, Lucy Richardson, Bernice Collins, Margalene Pritchard, Abb Lee Richardson; the mother of his children, Elizabeth Everett; favorite nephew, Charles Moffett and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A graveside service will be conducted at 1:15 p.m. on Friday, February 8, 2019 at the Old Leroy Baptist Cemetery with the Rev. James Cobb officiating and Lathan Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be from 12-1 p.m. at Lathan Funeral Home in Jackson.

Pallbearers will be Auval Glover, Charles Moffett, Bo Glover, Donald Harvard, Hayward Richardson and Lee Richardson.
