It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Joan Jordan Higgins in July 2024. Born on June 18, 1944, Joan lived a life full of love, dedication, and remarkable achievements.
Joan was predeceased by her beloved husband, Duncan Gardner Higgins, with whom she shared many wonderful years. She is survived by her two cherished children, Stephen and Carolyn Higgins, who were the light of her life.
A woman of extraordinary talent and determination, Joan was a Gold Medal National Masters Rower in the pair. Her passion for rowing and her competitive spirit were an inspiration to all who knew her.
Joan's legacy will live on in the hearts of her family and friends. She will be remembered for her kindness, strength, and the indelible mark she left on the community.
A private memorial service was held in Chatom to honor Joan's life and achievements.
