John Postlewaite

John Charles Postlewaite, age 82, of Pennsylvania, died Monday, October 17, 2022 with loved ones by his side. John was born October 21, 1939 to Charles Augustus and Elsie Imogene Postlewaite. John and his family spent time in several locations around the world, eventually settling in Jackson where John taught at Jackson High School for many years. A special teacher, he instilled more than the knowledge required to pass his class in any student willing to learn. After retiring, he continued to share his knowledge of computer programming and electronics through assisting with the JMS Robotics Club. Later, upon learning there were younger students interested in robotics at Jackson Intermediate School he jumped at the chance to assist in establishing their first robotics club.
John is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Sandra "Sam" Postlewaite; and one brother.
He is survived by his sons, Jay C. (Marsha) Postlewaite of Winston-Salem, NC and Sean C. (Julie) Postlewaite of Charlotte, VT; 9 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and many other relatives, students and friends.
Graveside service will be held Tuesday, October 24, 2022 at 1:00 pm at Trinity Memorial Gardens with Bro. Mike Ballard officiating.
