Johnny Randolph "Ranny" Autry, 69, of Coffeeville, Alabama, passed away at Mobile Infirmary on June 18, 2025. He was born on August 7,1955.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Bessie Shepherd Autry; his father, John Willard Autry; and his brother, Joseph Arthur Autry.

Ranny was a published author of Stumpy's Tale and had written two additional books awaiting editing and publication. He loved spending time with family and friends. He dedicated much of his life to caring for his beloved mother after the passing of his father. Ranny's listening ear and unwavering encouragement will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his sister, Jennifer Autry Wilkins (David); nieces, Shana Giles Jordan (Tim and son Slade), Catrelle Giles Toifel (Trey and son Carson McSpadden), McKenzie Legendre (daughter Sutton and son Linux), and Jessica Autry Tran (Jimmy and daughter Zeola); and nephew, Joseph Blakely Autry (Katie and daughters Josie and Elen).

Pallbearers will be Blake Autry, Carson McSpadden, Slade Jordan, Linux Legendre, Matthew Dunegan, Tim Jordan, and Jimmy Tran.

Hononary Pallbearers are Hank Dunagan, Conway Dunagan, Byron Dunegan, Eugene Dunegan, Johnny Autry, and Obie Dee O'Neil.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on June 29, 2025, at Ulcanush Baptist Church Cemetery in Coffeeville, with Brother Jessie Griffith officiating and Lathan Funeral Home directing.
