Jon Lane

Jon Albert "Albo" Lane, 69, of Frankville, passed away Sunday, July 3, 2022, at Jackson Medical Center. He was born on Friday, November 14, 1952, in McIntosh. He had been employed as a foundryman with Rolls Royce Marine Division and was a member of McIntosh Baptist Church. He enjoyed playing and watching golf and darts and playing guitar. He was a huge fan of The University of Alabama football and the words, "Roll Tide, Roll" were frequently heard when in his presence.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Oscar Lane, Helen Irene LaCoste Lane; daughter, Melissa Lane and siblings, Hazel Johnson, Vivian Lane and Carolyn Morgan.
He is survived by his sons, Wesley (Aubrie) Lane, Jamie Lane, Andrew Lane; grandchildren, Kaylie Lane, Alyssa Lane, Alexis Lane; siblings, Rose Sykes, Linda Arrington, Thomas Lane and numerous other relatives and friends.
A memorial gathering will be conducted on Thursday, July 7, 2022, from 11a.m.-12:30 p.m. at Lathan Funeral Home in Jackson. All friends and relatives are invited to attend and share memories of Jon.
