Joyce Allday, 71, of Jackson, Alabama went to be with Jesus on August 15, 2026, at home with her family. She was born in Selma, AL on August 31, 1954, to Frances Virginia Fain and Robert Aaron Bozeman Sr. Joyce graduated from Leroy High School class of 1972. Afterward she married Larry Allday and attended Patrick Henry University where she finished her degree in Cosmetology and worked in that profession for many years. She was an amazingly talented vocalist singing on her own as well as with many church choirs. She was a truly devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She loved music, decorating for Christmas, and spending time with her family. She loved to laugh and it was contagious to everyone around her. Her life was truly an example of what it means to walk by faith and trust in Jesus.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Charlene Green.

She is survived by her husband Larry Allday, sons Jeramy Allday (Jene), Jason Allday (Laura), sister Elaine Green (Norman), brother Bob Bozeman (Angie), 6 grandchildren Rachel Allday, Aurora Allday, Jude Allday, Noah Allday, Silas Allday, and Adelaide Allday.

Pallbearers will be Marcus Green, Danny Green, Chris Tompkins, Aaron Bozeman, Terry Scott Allday and Daniel Gibson. Honorary pallbearers are her grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at Lathan Funeral Home, Jackson, on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held at First Baptist Church of Jackson on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. with a visitation beginning at 9:30 a.m. until the service hour. Interment immediately following the funeral service at St. Stephens Baptist Cemetery. Officiating will be nephew Danny Green, Niece Cara Gibson and sons Jeramy and Jason Allday.
