Joycelyn Brannan Finch, a beloved mother, grandmother, and cherished member of the Jackson community, passed away peacefully on October 12, 2025, at the age of 87. Born on May 16, 1938, Joycelyn dedicated her life to her family, her faith, and her passions, leaving a lasting imprint on all who knew her.
Joycelyn was a devoted homemaker who dedicated her life to creating a warm, loving environment for her family. She was also the proud owner of "The Seasons," a clothing store that reflected her passion for fashion and community. Joycelyn was an active member and talented pianist at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, where she shared her God-given gift of music. Her piano melodies filled the church with joy, drawing people together in faith and fellowship.
Outside of her commitments to family and church, Joycelyn found solace in her vibrant flower beds. She often spent hours nurturing her plants and delighting in the beauty of nature. Her yard was adorned with hummingbirds and squirrels, which she joyfully observed from her window, finding peace in their playful antics. Family was her greatest treasure; she cherished every moment spent with her seven grandchildren and great-grandchildren, always eager to create precious memories filled with laughter and love.
