Juanita Bennett

Juanita Maria Bennett, 55, of Whatley, died Wednesday, December 28, 2022. Juanita, or Nita as she was known by her friends and loved ones, was born February 2, 1967 to Rueben Cartwright and Jeanette Courtney. Nita worked as a Registered Nurse for more than twenty years in the southeast United States; mainly working in Alabama and Mississippi including working for several years in Jackson. She enjoyed crocheting and helping others but loved spending time with her family.
Nita is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, Ronnie Bennett; son, Richard Bennett; daughter, Candace Bennett; and mother, Mary Cartwright.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Rueben Cartwright and Jeanette Courtney.
Services will be held Thursday, January 3, 2023. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at Lathan Funeral Home, Grove Hill. Graveside Service will be held at 11:15 am at Dacy Cemetery with Bro. Craig Weaver officiating.
