Judy Thomas Vickers, 74, of Jackson, passed away Saturday, December 14, 2019 at Grove Hill Memorial Hospital. She was born August 14, 1945 to Charles and Una Abbot Thomas in Boston, Massachusetts. She had been employed as a nurse in the research department at USA Medical Center in Mobile and Arrington Nursing Home in Jackson. She was an active member of Rocky Creek Baptist Church and the Herpetological Society, both in Ocean Springs, MS, and the Bonsai Society in both Mobile and Mississippi. She also enjoyed reading, visiting the beach, crochet and traveling and tending her large collection of boa constrictors.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gladie E. Vickers and brother, Charles David Thomas.

She is survived by her daughter Sandra (Nathanael) Evans; grandchildren, Joshua Cyle Crocker, Ashley Nicole Crocker; sister, Monica Wilson and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Thursday, December 19, 2019 at Lathan Funeral Home in Jackson with the Rev. Glenn Sullivan officiating. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the service at Bethel Cemetery with Lathan Funeral Home directing.

Pallbearers will be David Wilson, Brad Wilson, Brandon Wilson, Nathanael Evans, Joshua Crocker and Jonathan Toler.
