Karen Ann Miller Hoven, 60, of Jackson, passed away March 8, 2018 at Providence Hospital in Mobile. She was born December 28, 1957 to Charles and Iris Miller. An active member of Clearwater Assembly of God Church in Wagarville, she was devoted to her family and especially enjoyed attending her grandchildren's numerous activities. She had been employed with the Community Action Agency.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Robert Aaron Hoven; sister, Denise Shepler and daughter-in-law, Rochelle Hoven.
She is survived by her husband, Sammy Hoven, Sr.; children, Cecil Samuel (Mary) Hoven, Jr., Stephen Craig Hoven, Charles David (Jacky) Hoven, Joy (Jason) Walker; grandchildren, Christopher Booker, Joshua Booker, Devon Walker, Kaiden Walker, Emma Grace Walker, Elye Hoven, Elena Hoven; sisters, Darlene (Eddie) Mizell, Erica (Ken) Molenda; brothers-in-law, Morris Hoven and Mike Shepler and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 12p.m. on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at Clearwater Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Jimmy Butts officiating. Visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow the service at Stave Creek Baptist Church in Jackson with Lathan Funeral Home directing.
Pallbearers will be Corey Mizell, Kris Mizell, Michah Mizell, Albo Motes, Paul Dungan, Jim White, Bobby Dixon and Jamie Stauffacher.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jeff Motes, Jim Motes, James Motes and A.J. Molenda.
