With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Kayrean Baggett, a beloved mother, devoted friend, and cherished member of the Jackson community. Born on January 20, 1940, to her parents Bernie and Ettie Silcox McCorkel. Kayrean's journey through life touched all who knew her, leaving footprints of love and warmth wherever she roamed. She peacefully departed this world on July 26, 2026, at the age of 86, to join her beloved husband with whom she shared over 62 joyful years of marriage.

Kayrean was a woman of great spirit and kindness, whose love for family and faith knew no bounds. Her nurturing heart found expression in her devoted service as a Sunday school teacher and nursery caregiver at her cherished church, where she guided countless children in their early spiritual journeys. An avid traveler, Kayrean held a special place in her heart for visits to Pennsylvania, where she relished the time spent with loved ones. The sun-soaked days at Gulf Shores brought her immense joy, and the family traditions she crafted around those moments became the roots of precious memories. Sundays were made extraordinary by her and her husband's ritual of enjoying treats at Dairy Queen, a sweet testament to their playful bond, often echoed in the laughter shared over games of Rook with dear friends.

Her gentle hands once worked part-time in a florist, bringing beauty into the lives of others through her artful arrangements and love for nature. But above all, she was a dedicated homemaker, mastering the art of creating a loving, welcoming home filled with laughter and warmth.

Kayrean is preceded in death by her husband, Joe M. Baggett, Sr, her parents, and her brother William C. McCorkel.

Kayrean leaves behind her son, Joe M. Baggett, Jr. and daughter Ettie (Tom) Cantor, grandchildren; Jessica Rico, Julianna (Matt) Giordano, Marrissa Cantor, Samantha Cantor, great grandchildren, Kaiden Rico, Adriana Rico, Lily Giordan, siblings, Autrey Feaster, Bernie L. McCorkel, Carole Sue Thomas, and numerous nieces, nephews and other dear relatives who will carry forward the legacy of love and compassion that her mother embodied.
