Kenneth Bishop

Kenneth Ray Bishop, 57, of Jackson, passed away Thursday, January 13, 2022, at his residence. He was born on Saturday, April 18, 1964, in Erin, Tennessee. He was an avid fan of NASCAR, especially drivers Dale Jarrett and Tony Stewart, and the Auburn University football program. He also loved spending time with his family and had been employed as a service technician with Parden Gas Company in Grove Hill.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Peggy Faye Allen Claxton.
He is survived by his wife, Angie Young Bishop; children, Nicholas (Coalbree) Bishop, Justin Wilkerson, Summer (William) Spain, Lindsey Newton, Gracie Bishop; grandson, Waylon Spain; father, Walter Earl Claxton; siblings, Kim Wade, Kelia (Wayne) Fralick, Kevin (Robin) Claxton, Kendell Claxton; numerous nieces and nephews of whom he adored and numerous other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be conducted at 3 p.m. on Thursday, January 20, 2022, at Lathan Funeral Home in Jackson with the Rev. Fred Odom officiating. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service.
