Lille Mae Agee Armistead, 69, of Grove Hill, passed away on June 28, 2019 at her residence. She was born June 28, 1950 in Linden to Edwin and Fannie Mae Agee. A member of Tompkins Baptist Church in Grove Hill, she had been a homemaker for many years, choosing to devote her time to the care of her family and pets. She also enjoyed gardening, especially flowers.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Owen Thomas Armistead.
She is survived by children, Tonia Armistead Wood, Thomas (Cristi) Armistead; grandchildren, Carson Abigail Wood, Candace Armistead (Cody) Childs, Zakery Armistead; great-granddaughter, Caisley Ann Childs and numerous other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at Tompkins Baptist Church with Dr. Johnny Kendrick officiating. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. and continue until the service begins. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Gardens in Jackson with Lathan Funeral Home directing.
Pallbearers will be Mike Baugh, Keith Newton, James Bell, Jeffery Keel, Ward Edge and Kenny Loftin.
Flowers are welcome, but if preferred, donations in her memory may be made to Pilots for Christ, P.O. Box 707, Monroeville, AL 36461.
