It is with deep sorrow and immense love that we announce the passing of Linda Robinson Dumas, who left this world on May 10, 2026. Born on September 25, 1947, her life was defined by devotion, resilience, and generosity. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother and a second mother to so many others whose lives were touched by her kindness and guidance. Linda brightened the lives of those around her with her laughter and passion for family. Linda possessed a unique sense of humor that could lighten even the heaviest of hearts.
Her home was always open to those in need. She welcomed struggling friends and family, and anyone needing comfort with warmth, compassion, and a place to belong.
A hardworking and determined businesswoman, she balanced the responsibilities of supporting her family by working at Walmart while also running a small business. Her tireless work ethic and unwavering dedication reflected the strength and perseverance that defined her life.
She was a fighter in every sense of the word - fighting for her family, for stability, for love, and for a better future for those she cared about most. Through every hardship, she remained resilient, courageous, and deeply committed to the people she loved.
She is survived by her devoted children, Gregory(Lindsey) Dumas, Eric (Raven) Dumas, Wanda Dumas, Mike Dumas, Marlene Campbell, Anita Logan and Stevie (Cindy) Dumas; grandchildren Clayton Dumas, Ashlyn Dumas (Jesse) Hinrichsen, Isabella Dumas, Matt Dumas, Jason (Sarah) Dumas, Lindsay (Todd) Jones, Brandon Dumas, Sarah (Jack) Partlow, and Mekenzie Dumas, who will carry forward her legacy of love, creativity, and joy.
She is preceded in death by her husband Ivy Dumas; parents Evans and Sadie Robinson; grandson Daniel Dumas; siblings Betty Hawkins, Nell Fagen, James Robinson, Jimmy Robinson, and Bobby Squires.
Services will be held at Lathan Funeral Home in Jackson on May 17, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. with a visitation an hour prior. Interment will follow the funeral service at Trinity Memorial Gardens.
Her legacy will live on through the countless lives she impacted with her generosity, strength, laughter, and unconditional love. She will be remembered as a devoted mother, grandmother, and wife.
She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
