Lois Dunagan

May 10, 1940 — February 15, 2021

Lois Virginia Dunagan, 80, of Jackson, passed away Monday, February 15, 2021 at Jackson Health Care Facility. She was born in Mobile on May 10, 1940. A member of First Baptist Church of Leroy, she had also owned and operated The Bargain Shop for more than forty years in Jackson. She was dedicated to caring for others and devoted her time and energy to her family and attended as many of their school and community functions as possible.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Grant Dunagan, Sr. and son, Aubrey Dale White.
She is survived by her children, Arthur (Gwen) White, Rose White Andrews, Tammy White (James) Freeman, Rebecca Dunagan (Joey) Ramey, Debra Dunagan (Tommy) Mathews, Lee Grant Dunagan, Jr.; 18 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, one great, great-grandchild and numerous other relatives and friends.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Friday, February 19, 2021 at Bell Parker Cemetery in Jackson with Dr. Ben Stubblefield officiating and Lathan Funeral Home directing.
Pallbearers will be Thomas Arensberg, Blake Bolen, Jacob Criswell, Lance Criswell, Eddie Freeman, Joshua Freeman, Phillip Ramey and Zeb Ramey.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to The McCann’s UMC Cemetery Fund.
