Louis Byrd Jr.

Louis Max Byrd, 58, of Jackson, passed away September 21, 2017 in Mobile. He was born July 1, 1959 to Louis Max Byrd, Sr. and Effie Coate Byrd. He loved hunting and was an avid fan of Alabama football.



He was preceded in death by his father.



He is survived by his wife, Nancy Overstreet Byrd; his mother; children, Jessica (Devin) Peterson, Jon Lucas Byrd; grandchildren, Brooklyn Byrd, Christian Peterson, Loryn Peterson; sister, Phyllis Mashburn; nephew, Brandon (Jamie) Mashburn; great-niece, Harleigh Mashburn; brother-in-law, Mark (Nicole) Overstreet; niece, Mallory Overstreet; nephews, Brodie Overstreet, Colin Brown and numerous other relatives and friends.



Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at Ulcanush Baptist Church in Coffeeville with the Rev. Jesse Griffith officiating. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at the Coffeeville Town Cemetery with Lathan Funeral Home directing.



Pallbearers will be Mark Overstreet, James Coate, Kenneth Overstreet, Greg Mashburn, Brandon Mashburn and Darren Williamson.
