Lynda Rebecca Roberts Wingard, 82, passed away on July 26, 2026, at the Jackson Healthcare Facility. She was born February 8, 1944, to parents Elvis and Lillie May Ott Roberts. Lynda lived in the Jackson area her whole life and was well known for her cooking at the Leroy Spur Station, where she fed many football players and helped those in need. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grand's, she enjoyed caring for and cooking for her family, and spent many hours quilting.

Preceded in death by parents and granddaughter Anna Parnell.

Survived by her children Alison (Roger) Duke, Jeff (Veronica) Etheredge, Becky (Larry) Parnell, and Rich (Nicole) Etheredge. Grandchildren Paige Parnell, Tyler Etheredge, Van Duke, Hannah Duke, Makenzie Etheredge, and Mallory Etheredge. Great-grandchildren Nathan, Corban, Justice, Haley, Zoey, Kathryn, Owen, Everleigh, Jovie, Corinne, Lillie Mae, and Elise. Siblings Roger (Annette) Roberts, and Tammy (Keith) Bolen, also many extended family members and loving friends.

Visitation will be Thursday, July 30, 2026, from 10-11 AM at Lathan Funeral Home with a graveside service following at Perry's Chapel Cemetery. Rev. Taylor Morgan will be officiating with Lathan Funeral Home directing.
